Gzip compression is off because burst uses the gzip mod in apache. Using both only causes more CPU resources to be consumed. I asked about this on the phpBB2 development forum before doing so. In a sense, all pages coming to you from the forum are gzip regardless of that setting.

I also confirmed this by going to a web site (the url escapes me) that checks for gzip compression.

I might add that a majority of those hits are from me testing the forum. :)

How much bandwidth are you allocated?

The site does seem to be running better now than a week or two ago, was anything changed?

We are alloted 20GB per month, so we're doing fine so far. :)

I have not done anything in the past week, perhaps burst has fixed the server? I'm still investigating a new provider. I will have to wait for another week or so until the reseller of this site gets back from Las vegas.
