You know, it just occurred to me that there is usually quite a difference between the socks and the puppets around here. I mean, take Buck. Buck is a top guy. But the Bartender, on the other hand, swans around pretending to be a nice bloke, smiling at everyone and offering free drinks now and then, but underneath that suave exterior, he expects me to do real work. Hmmmm .... I think I like Buck better than I like the Bartender.

And there are others amongst us. Cliptin and Howell. Howell's a nice guy, but I still have a soft spot for good old Clippy. I sort of miss Clippy.

And then there is the multipally schitzoid family of aliases from Houston, Tejas, Estados Unidos. Nice guys all, but I always like Splash the best. Splash has the same sense of humor as me. And Splash is not just yet another boring human.

Or Mercutio. Which one is better company, Mercutio on the one hand, or, on the other hand, Mercutio? On the whole, I think Mercutio.

And, of course, I can't stand The Giver, but kind old Uncle Bill is a real sweetie. And DB is alweays more fun to play with than boring old Pradeep.

And so on.

Maybe there is more to sock puppetry than meets the casual eye.

So which ones are socks and which ones are puppets?

Those are kind comments Tea. There is always an open seat next to me at the bar if you need a place to rest your weary body from the hard work that Tannin and the Bartender have chained you to.

Good question Mercutio. I thought the socks and the puppets were one and the same. Oh well, shows you what I know. Bartender! Another beer please.

Ha! It's a conspiracy around here. After all of the help and generosity I've shown Tea, Buck and others, this is the <sniffle> treatment that I get? See Grammar Police, this is the way people treat you when you try to help. I'm sure you can understand. I doubt Tea has ever once appreciated the helpful suggestions you provide her and her awful grammar. But that is okay, I take pride in my work, and find solace in the very task that I’ve been woven to do.

My wee little brain sometimes gets overloaded with too many of these alternate realities. They're fun, nevertheless.

There are socks and there are puppets but there is only one Sock Puppet and it ain't me. I am neither a sock or a puppet. I don't know what I am but it is not either of those.

Maybe ... EVIL

Is this some kind of test? Asking if I'd rather have a foot shoved down me or a hand crammed up me?

I saw some pictures like that one alt.binaries.pictures.ero...

Aw screw it. They were a little disturbing.

At least one of the choices isn't "condom".
