It seems that Tom has now removed all references to the name of his one-time writer, Van Smith. Now it's one thing to part company with an author, it's another thing altogether to remove his name from the articles you have on your site that he wrote two years ago, and yet another thing to fake a phoney name to an article that Van Smith wrote.

That ain't just ordinary gutter journalism, it takes special talent. There is only one word for this. It starts with arse and it ends in hole.

Actually I think it's "felony." You can't claim someone else's written work as your own.

Yes, I have not approved of Tom's actions either, and have subsequently removed his website from my "Helpful Links" section. As has been noted, his new partner, the register, has not commented on this issue.
